The state board work session on October 25 didn’t disappoint. Our elected state board certainly has a grasp of the challenges in public education in Alabama, and it was terribly interesting (and rather intense) to hear their discussion of their concerns.

Our state Superintendent and state board of education are moving at lightning speed, making changes in our K-12 education arena. So many areas, so little time to cover them all. While this meeting was mostly a repeat of the September work session, the discussion among the board members was enlightening, disturbing, and yet still hopeful for our future.
