Spring Break week has begun for 122 of Alabama’s 135 school districts. Six districts are out next week, and another six districts the week of April 14, 2014. Pike County students were out for Spring Break the week of March 10.
You know how much I like maps, right? So here’s a map of who is on Spring Break when. Colors indicate those with the same dates.
You know the drill. Click on the district to see the dates.
You can also see the start and end dates for the school year (everybody started on August 19 last year, but the ending dates differ a bit). Click this link to open the map in a new window.
[While I finally figured out how to add Alabaster City, Satsuma City, and Chickasaw City districts to the map, I haven’t quite gotten the layer thing figured out. If anyone can offer any help, I’m all ears.]
The Alabama legislature is taking the week off, too. There will be three days left in the session when they return.
Be safe out there.
