Get Connected: A New Endeavor for the Alabama School Connection
A little more than a month ago, the opportunity arose for the Alabama School Connection to become a regular part of a local public affairs program, The Alabama Way. I had been a guest on the program a couple of times, and the station manager, Debra Perry, offered me the opportunity to share information about public education in Alabama through this program.
Recognizing there is nothing more informative than a great conversation, I jumped at the opportunity.
In the coming weeks and months, look for segments full of helpful information for parents and community members across the state.
The station is WPXH-44, the ion station in Gadsden, Birmingham, and surrounding areas. If you are outside of the reception area, don’t worry. Ms. Perry has graciously agreed to allow me to post the segments on the Alabama School Connection’s YouTube page.
It airs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 to 6:00 a.m. Set your DVR if you don’t rise that early.
The Alabama Way is a true public affairs program, focusing on topics of interest that impact the lives of our neighbors and community members in Alabama.
We’ve named the segment “Get Connected”, and all segments will be posted on this YouTube playlist. This segment might not air every Tuesday and Thursday, but I will do my best to bring you relevant, interesting, and timely information…delivered straight to your television.
Please send your suggestions for topics about which you’d like to hear more through the conversational style that The Alabama Way does so well. Send your suggestions to asc(at)alabamaschoolconnection.org. And if you get an invitation to be interviewed….be ready to say yes!
Here’s an introduction to “Get Connected”. Looking forward to talking about Alabama education issues with Alabama folks. Stay tuned!
