I am thrilled to share that I am currently in Chicago, having been awarded a data journalism fellowship to attend “Using Data at Your Desk”, a joint endeavor of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and the Education Writers Association (EWA).
It’s a deep dive into national data sets with scholars to learn how to better utilize longitudinal data sets and learn my way around them.
And then it’s on to EWA’s National Seminar!
The theme this year? Costs and Benefits: Covering the Economics of Education!
Does it get any better than this?
So you won’t see much posted here over the next few days (though I’ll certainly keep up with what’s happening in the legislature).
The agenda is jam-packed full of super-cool data stuff and school finance stuff.
