Budget Hearing Dates Wanted. This Is the Year to Attend, Folks.
If there was ever a year to learn more about how your board of education uses taxpayer money to educate Alabama’s children, this is it.
With the tug-of-war going on in the Alabama legislature over how the $300 million hole in the General Fund will be filled, the Education Trust Fund continues to be a target for lawmakers looking for a quick fix. That means as many folks as possible need to be able to answer questions about how money is spent for education.

So I’m looking for budget hearing dates, please. Please submit them in the document below.
I’m compiling a spreadsheet of dates as I find them, and today, I found notices for hearings in thirteen of Alabama’s 137 school districts. Scroll down to see those dates.
Board-approved budgets are due to the Alabama State Department of Education by September 15, 2015.
Here are the dates found as of 4:00 p.m. on August 11, 2015.
