A Look at One Solution to the State Money Mess
As we prepare to take a look at the State Money Mess on Sunday in Birmingham, here is one legislator’s solution.
Freshman Senator Clyde Chambliss (R- Prattville) appeared on Alabama Public Television’s Capitol Journal last Friday and shared his approach to a solution for the General Fund’s budget woes. Yes, it involves the Education Trust Fund, but in a different way than other legislators are considering.
And it’s really a series of solutions, but hey, it’s worth a view, as all solutions are on the table.
His interview begins at the 29 minutes, 30 second mark.
Here is al.com’s Mike Cason’s coverage of the press conference Sen. Chambliss held on Wednesday if you’d rather read the details.
Join me on Sunday, August 30, at 2:30 p.m. at the Beloved Community Church in Birmingham to learn more about how money moves into the state’s coffers and back out to serve the public.
Pssssst: Don Dailey does an incredible job interviewing our elected officials on Capitol Journal. If you want to hear what folks say with your own ears, this is where you need to tune in. Set your DVR or watch episodes on APTV’s web site. (Check the site for the broadcast schedule.)
