The Difference in What the Ed Department Wanted and What the Governor Recommended
Budgets indicate…and reveal…priorities.
Each year, the Alabama Legislative Fiscal Office (LFO) publishes a spreadsheet of the Education Trust Fund (ETF) budget as it makes its way through the legislature, starting with the Governor’s recommended budget.
[Yes, there’s one for the General Fund, too.]
As we’ve done in years past, we’ve added the Alabama State Department of Education’s (ALSDE) budget request to the spreadsheet.
Only expenditures related to the ALSDE are included. Click the link above for the full ETF spreadsheet.
Rep. Donnie Chesteen (R-Geneva) told Capitol Journal‘s Don Dailey that the hope is to get to the Education Trust Fund budget before spring break.
Updates will be made as it progresses through the legislature.
